Membership Moments with Mum A Mia

Meet Cindy Flores, the face of Mum A Mia located in Cypress Texas. Every off season Cindy Flores spends 8 full months prepping for the fall Homecoming Mum rush. From pre-braiding, restocking, bow tying and ribbon cutting, it is all hands on deck to get ready for her huge season. Mum A Mia averages over 240 full size mums and garters every season. Cindy has been in the floral industry for over 25 years many of those years in a shop as a full time floral designer.

However, things changed a bit in 2003 when Cindy was diagnosed with MS or Multiple Sclerosis. She had to take a step back and reevaluate what was best for her health and her family. Cindy has two children Adan 22 and Nova 21 with her husband Joe. From this came a full focus on Homecoming alone and Mum A Mia was born.

Mum A Mia is a home based business located in the Houston area but she ships Nationwide. Her philosophy on design is to always try to capture a kiddos personality with each of her creations. Her modern and unique flair for design is what makes her mums stand out. Cindy believes that Homecoming mums should be much more than just a Texas tradition. She has seen her mums go all over the US.

This industry is so much more than just a craft. Homecoming is a multi-million dollar industry. The trends in our industry follow fashion, home decor and anything that is currently popular in our culture. As you can see by the display below the options are endless. From every color and texture available to designers, Cindy has it in her mum work room.
